Sue McCollum
A graduate of the University of Michigan, Sue McCollum has been writing columns for newspapers and magazines for over twenty years. She has been a guest on television in the San Francisco Bay Area as well as in other states. She has also written six books, Moving On (before and after cancer), Brave and Free, Real Love Stories Have No Endings, Who Holds the Key?, Sun Valley Christmas, Sun Valley Summer Symphony.

Ms. McCollum was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1999 and completed her treatments at Stanford University Medical Center. Her first book, Moving On (before and after cancer) is her journal of her journey through her cancer experience.
To honor her parents Marion and Don Howell, who both died of cancer, she established an endowed fund at Stanford University Medical Center for cancer research in 2002. The Stanford University/ Sue McCollum The Blue Dot Fund has been able to fund Dr. Albert Koong and his research at Stanford. To continue to support his cancer research and cancer programs across the country, the My Blue Dots non-profit fund was established in 2006 (tax ID #20-5469956).
Sue is married and lives in California with her husband, Bob. They have three grown sons, Mike, Dave, and Jeff, and eight grandchildren.
